Therapy as unique as you!

Here at Apricity we know that no two patients are the same. Meaning no two treatment plans will ever be the same.  We believe in the science and research being done in the mental health profession. And we understand the role the whole body plays in mental health care. So what does that mean for our patients?

It means we get creative! We take skills and techniques from different evidence based practices to create the most effective form of treatment for each person. We collaborate with other professionals to make sure the whole person is being treated. Most importantly we listen; to research, doctors, scientists, and YOU!

The interventions we use

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

DBT, or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a skills building therapy that helps to build mindfulness, distress tolerance skills, communication skills, and emotional regulation.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

PE, or Prolonged Exposure Therapy, is a therapy used to treat PTSD. We have found his therapy is particularly effective in treating intense, aggressive trauma.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT, or Cognitive Behavior Therapy, is used to help treat what are referred to as “unhelpful thoughts” and is especially effective for depression and anxiety.

Internal Family System

IFS, or Internal Family Systems, works with the different parts or “families” in all of us. This module helps us to heal wounded aspects of our patients and bring about compassion and understanding for sometimes difficult emotions.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, uses a persons eye movements to help them process, and heal from, trauma.

Psychiatry

While this is not something we offer personally, we are able to refer out psychiatrist that we know and trust with our patients.
